Our Restoration Journey

Since our move to Portugal in 2008, we have poured our heart and soul into breathing life back into this stunningly tranquil valley. We began our journey by restoring the four Xisto stone houses at Vale de Moses, ensuring great care and respect to the old local Portuguese traditions of building with natural materials: clay, lime, stone and wood was taken.
As a family, with help from the local Portuguese community and dear friends from all over the world the space here at Vale de Moses has been lovingly transformed from deserted ruins to a safe and welcoming home away from home for everyone to stay. We truly hope that you'll enjoy exploring the wilderness and nourishing your soul here as much as we have over the years.
